It's time CME progressed

For most practitioners, Continuing Medical Education is a chore. It’s a system that values checking a box over genuine learning, and it treats your time as if it’s infinite. It isn't.

We’re a team of clinicians, engineers, and builders who have had enough. We believe the gap between practicing medicine and keeping up with medicine has become a crisis, and the old tools aren't helping.

Our founders aren't just tech people; they're an emergency physician and an interventional cardiologist. We've lived the frustration of trying to cram irrelevant modules into the slivers of time between consults, after rounds, and on top of a mountain of paperwork.

We’re not building a solution for some abstract healthcare system. We're building it for our colleagues, our friends, and ourselves. For every practitioner who loves medicine but is tired of the administrative burnout that comes with it.

Our Beliefs

  • We believe CME should fit into your life, not force you to rearrange it. Learning should happen in the five minutes you have between patients, not in a scheduled two-hour block you don't.
  • We believe learning should be hyper-relevant to your specialty and the patients you see every day, not a generic article from a decade ago.
  • We believe staying current should feel energizing and rewarding, not like another piece of administrative drudgery. Your curiosity should be rewarded, not punished with clunky interfaces.
  • We believe your focus should be on patient care, not paperwork. Credit tracking should be effortless and automatic, because no one went to medical school to become a better bookkeeper.

We see a future where staying on the cutting edge of medicine is seamlessly woven into the rhythm of your day. A future where every practitioner has the knowledge they need at their fingertips, becoming better clinicians without burning out.

We're building that future with MDProgress.

The Team

Jonathan Sherbino

Jonathan Sherbino

Co-founder

Jonathan is an emergency physician in a high-volume department. His friends tease him for referring patients a little too easily. He blames his struggles with keeping up with "the literature" as a result of falling off his mountain bike one too many times. Yep, he is that stereotype of an emergency physician.

Matthew Sibbald

Matthew Sibbald

Co-founder

Matt is an interventional cardiologist who works in a public hospital. A self-proclaimed big nerd, he is constantly exploring new technology to help him keep up with the endless stream of new drugs and devices in his specialty. He is such a nerd, in fact, that he actually went and did a degree in blockchain. Yes, really.

Eamon Miller

Eamon Miller

CTO

Eamon is a software engineer navigating the fine line between the frontiers of artificial intelligence and the depths of caffeine withdrawal. His desk often resembles a parking lot for empty energy drink cans, each one mission critical. He considers his software a form of modern art, if users don't get it that is their failure, not his.

Hanneke de Roo

Hanneke de Roo

COO

Hanneke has a degree in life sciences, which she quickly realized was best applied from a safe distance, preferably outside the splash zone. Lacking the stomach for clinical work, she dedicated her career to supporting clinicians from behind the curtain. After judging startups from the lofty perch of health tech investing, she decided to join the dark side and build one herself.

Geertika Jeyaganesha

Geertika Jeyaganesha

Head of Marketing

Geertika's job is to make us look good. Her screen time is a closely guarded secret, split between analyzing complex data and figuring out how to use the latest meme for corporate gain. She is on a perpetual mission to find the perfect tagline that doesn't sound like it was written by a robot.
